The Narrative

The Soul of the Object

This magnificent circular tabletop is a masterwork of traditional Moroccan Zellige, handcrafted by skilled artisans in the historic city of Fes. Thousands of individually hand-chiseled Natural Clay tiles, known as tesserae, are meticulously arranged face-down in a complex geometric puzzle before being set in reinforced cement. The design is anchored by a striking eight-pointed star in the center, radiating outwards into a large, scalloped medallion pattern, all framed by concentric borders. The color palette is a soothing blend of natural earth tones, including sandy beige, warm Natural Clay pink, deep charcoal black, and creamy white accents, derived from natural mineral pigments. This durable and weather-resistant piece is perfect as a distinctive dining table, a stunning coffee table, or even as a monumental piece of wall art, bringing the timeless elegance of Moorish design to any indoor or outdoor space. Slight imperfections in the tile cut and glaze are the hallmark of authentic, handmade Zellige.

"Every imperfection tells a story of human hands at work."
