The Narrative

The Soul of the Object

This magnificent square table is a masterpiece of Moroccan craftsmanship, featuring a mesmerizing radiating geometric star pattern. A vibrant palette of deep cobalt, turquoise, emerald green, and mustard yellow tiles converge to create a kaleidoscope of color that immediately draws the eye. The intricate design expands from a central floral motif, framed by a classic diamond border, making it a true statement piece for any living space. Born from the ancient kilns of Fez, this table is the result of the painstaking *zellige* technique. Master artisans, known as *maâlems*, hand-chisel each individual tile fragment from glazed terracotta clay using a sharp hammer called a *menqach*. These thousands of tiny pieces are then assembled upside down in a complex puzzle based on memory and tradition, before being set permanently into the table's cement foundation. Robust and durable, this mosaic table is suitable for both indoor and covered outdoor use. Whether serving as a stunning dining surface on a garden patio or a vibrant coffee table in a bohemian living room, it brings the authentic soul and timeless elegance of Moorish design into your home. Note: Iron base sold separately.
